A Latham fiberglass pool is built in a factory and set in your yard by our crew – no months of forming and curing. The surface is smooth to the touch, resists algae and never needs a liner change or new plaster.
Elite Pool Services installs Latham fiberglass pools across the Birmingham metro. Once the permit is in, most installs take a few weeks: excavation, setting the shell with a crane, plumbing, backfill, coping and deck. Pick a shape below and we will price it installed in your yard.

The smooth gelcoat is non-porous, so algae have a hard time holding on. Less brushing, fewer chemicals, no liner or plaster to replace.

Latham shells carry a manufacturer’s structural warranty; we back our installation work separately. Ask us for both in writing.
Installation
How a fiberglass pool goes in
- Site check & access
The shell comes on a truck and goes in by crane. We check the route, overhead lines and where the crane can stand.
- Excavation & base
We dig to the shape and set a level gravel base – the most important part of a fiberglass install.
- Set, plumb & backfill
The shell is lowered in, leveled, plumbed and backfilled while it fills with water, so pressure stays even.
- Coping, deck & start-up
Coping and deck go around the edge, equipment is connected and we start the pool.

Fiberglass pool questions
How long does it take to install a fiberglass pool?
Most of the work in your yard is excavation, setting the shell, plumbing, backfill and the deck. Once permits are in place, many fiberglass pools are ready to swim in within a few weeks – much faster than gunite.
Is fiberglass better than vinyl or gunite?
It depends on the yard and the budget. Fiberglass is the easiest to maintain and fastest to install; vinyl is the most affordable to build; gunite allows any shape. We build all three and help you compare.
Can a crane reach my backyard?
Usually yes – cranes can lift over a house. We check access, overhead lines and where the crane can stand before we quote.
What does a fiberglass pool cost installed?
