Pools built & serviced in Mountain Brook, AL
We have built large custom gunite pools in Mountain Brook, where steep lots, mature trees and tight access call for careful planning – and we service and renovate pools across the city.

Pools in Mountain Brook
Mountain Brook backyards are beautiful and rarely easy. Many homes sit on steep, wooded lots with rock not far below the surface, driveways are narrow, and the backyard is often reachable only past the house. Before we quote a Mountain Brook pool we walk the access route, check where a mini excavator can go and look at trees whose roots we must protect.
Most pools we build here are custom gunite – including a 20 × 40 pool with blue quartz plaster, a Noche travertine deck and a 10 × 10 spa, and a pool our crew fit into a very small, steep backyard. Both are in Our Work. Gunite fits the architecture and the terrain: the shell can follow a retaining wall, sit higher than the yard on the downhill side, and be finished with natural stone coping and dark plaster that suits shaded lots.
Many Mountain Brook pools were built decades ago. Those are great candidates for renovation – new plaster or pebble, new tile and coping, LED lights, a variable-speed pump and automation – while keeping a shell that is still sound. Shade from big oaks means more leaves and less sun, so a good filter, a robotic cleaner and regular service matter more here than in an open yard.
What customers say
My technician has always been Kyle Handy. Hes responsive, kind, very knowledgeable, and respectful.
Great customer experience, attention to detail, communication as to the process - service - training was extraordinary, service teams knowledge is tops in the industry. I will definitely be calling Elite’s Pool Team to discuss our next project of an in ground pool install.
Our pump went out on Saturday evening. I called Elite Pool and my call was returned immediately. Dan came on Sunday morning and by Tuesday we had a new pump installed and pool was up and running. Dan explained everything to us about our equipment. I cannot say enough good things about Elite Pool and their service.
Questions from Mountain Brook
Can you get equipment into a tight Mountain Brook backyard?
Usually yes. We use compact equipment and plan the access route before we quote. In some cases we protect the lawn and driveway or bring material in by hand.
Is it worth renovating an older pool instead of building new?
Often. If the shell is sound, new plaster, tile, coping and equipment give you an almost new pool for much less than a rebuild.
